Pre-Planning
When a loved one dies, arranging a funeral can add to the stress you are already going through. During this difficult period, even the simplest decisions can seem impossible.
Prearranging a funeral gives you and your loved ones the peace of mind of knowing that the choices and decisions have already been made. You can take your time in deciding how to add your personal touch to the arrangements.
Pre-Planning allows you to complete many decisions in advance, such as:
Choice between burial and cremation
Deciding on religious or secular services, traditional or non-traditional services
Choice of casket, burial vault, and personalization options
Kind of music, readings, flowers, etc., that might be included
Location of services, for example, using the funeral home or church, or at the graveside.
Other details to consider are estate planning, writing a will, choosing a cemetery, and picking out a grave marker or monument.
Pre-Funding
Once you have pre-arranged a funeral, you may also pay for it in advance. This gives families the benefit of protecting themselves from any increase in price. Our primary method of pre-funding is through Forethought Life Insurance Company. A Forethought funeral plan is a special life insurance policy that pays for your funeral arrangements, no matter how far in the future the need arises. Payment options are available over 1, 3, or 5 year periods.
Our pre-arrangement counselor, Clint Oxendine, or any of our funeral directors would be glad to answer any of your questions. Feel free to call us to set up a time to talk to us.
